Frozen Pipe

This loss was caused by a frozen pipe in Casper, WY. With the drywall saturated and having fiberglass insulation above it, it can be difficult to dry it out. The insulation holds a lot of water and does not readily release it when saturated, this is called a moisture bearer. So we removed the drywall and the insulation so we could focus our drying efforts on the wood sub-structure, and get it back to normal quickly. In the garage it has a higher risk of frozen pipes because most people don’t hear it. Sometimes it takes longer to dry a garage out.
